OVERVIEW
You can bring your children into their first appointment as early as you would like, but we usually recommend you bring them around six months of age. Even if they donāt have any teeth it means they start to get used to the environment and seeing the dentist.
Unfortunately, Leicester has some of the highest decay rates in children in the country, so we at The Windsor Dental Practice make it a priority to ensure that childrenās dental health is at the forefront of our clinical practice.
QUESTIONS ABOUT
It is very important to maintain a healthy and positive relationship with teeth and visiting the dentist And instil this in your children as well. We advise you not to talk negatively about seeing the dentist, such as by mentioning injections, as your child will inherently develop a fear of the dentist. It is also important to regularly bring them for appointments, as they will only get worse the less they come in.
We have a very friendly team, so they will always be greeted with a smiling face. The dentist will never proceed to check their teeth unless they feel the child is comfortable, as we always want to make it a very positive experience.
