At Windsor Dental Practice, our priority is to provide consistent, high-quality NHS dental care to our registered patients. Due to limited NHS capacity and high demand, it’s essential that NHS resources are used appropriately and fairly.
NHS Deregistration Due to Medical Tourism:
Any NHS patient who chooses to have dental treatment abroad (commonly referred to as “medical tourism”) will be automatically removed from our NHS patient list.
We would still be happy to see you on a private basis only, but not under the NHS. This is because the treatment was elective and carried out outside of the UK, often not to the standards expected by the NHS. It would be unfair for UK taxpayers to cover follow-up care or complications arising from treatment done abroad.
We kindly ask patients to inform us if they are considering treatment abroad so we can provide appropriate guidance.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your dental care, please contact our reception team.
